Today I sanded the parts thoroughly. The orbit sander worked well on the flat surfaces. For the coved curves I cut a 1 inch dowel the length of my sand paper. I started at 60 grit since my cherry burned a lot. Then I worked up to 150 grit.

I applied natural Danish Oil to the cherry. ARM-R-Seal was ragged on the maple parts. I applied two coats to every part. I made sure not to touch within the grooves and the tongues.

I will next glue and clamp these parts, but that will be work for tomorrow or the next day.
