« Part 2: An Update to Refinishing This Coffee Table Top with TransTint Dye Part 3 of Refinish a Table Top series no next part

I completed spraying the polyurethane finish on this table. I had a few spots that I scuffed sanded on the lower portion of the table. I applied some of my dye mix to those areas. I made sure the remainder of the table was clean and then sprayed a light coat of finish to the lower portion of this table.

I will give this table tonight and most of the morning tomorrow to dry. Once it checks okay I will apply a thin coat of dark brown Briwax and buff that thoroughly. I have already told Martin to drop by after work tomorrow. We will return this coffee table to its home.

Thank you Bob. This refinish project has been quite a learning experience. I am glad it has turned out well. I had my doubts if I was up to the task, but with a lot of great advice and help I got through it.

This morning I applied a small amount of dark brown paste wax and buffed it out. I thought I had this color in Briwax, but instead I owned this color in Staples wax. Both paste wax products I have bought at my local Woodcraft store.

Then I placed the metal buttons back in their original locations. This table is ready to go home this evening.
