Ok, so I am new to wood working, I did a couple very simple projects such as a farm house style table and after built a matching bench for one side, I am a grown man and refuse to sit on a bench so I decided that eventually I would design and build some farmhouse chairs, I didn’t think I was quite ready yet so I built (I am still finishing it) a farmhouse bed. Any body noticing a trend yet? I really like the farmhouse style furniture. Well when I first started I was just using construction grade lumber and now I am starting to use more select grade, still haven’t worked anything but pine but I built my farmhouse chairs out of select pine and I used 2×4’s for the legs, and I love them… BUT I feel like I’m not quite happy with them, I loooove my design and I feel like it deserves a nice wood to go with it. Problem is my table is construction grade lumber and I’m not sure how any other wood would look sitting underneath of it, even if I stain it the same color. I am looking for any and all opinions guys, I have caught the passion now I just need to catch some knowledge haha thanks
