I decided that I wanted to make an American flag cabinet. I wanted to build this because I needed something to put my ammunition in for all my different types of Calibers. The project isn’t too complicating but there were some things I had to overcome and problem solve. I used poplar wood as my main box and shelves for the ply wood i used it was all birch plywood.

First, I started off with making the box

This was very easy and I used a pocket hole joint to put it together. The next step was putting on the shelves I used a pocket hole joint for this too it turned out amazing.

The picture above was the back of the cabinet I used 3/8 inch plywood and routed around the edge of the box so that the plywood would sit flush with the rest of the box. Next, I got my metal cut and designed what I wanted it to be.

The next step was putting in the wood behind the American flag outline.

I am almost completed with the project all I have left to do is cut the metal and plywood backing in half so that I can have two hinged doors then i will have to put the hinges on and put it all together i will complete this very soon
