Today I purchased the Vega Pro 50 fence system. I had some Amazon Points saved up and decided this was the first major upgrade I wanted to do in regards to the workshop. I did a lot of research and reading on different fence options. This fit the budget and did not require much tweaking for install. Part 2: Fence installation

This morning I stripped off the old fence and stamped steel extension wings from my table saw and started the fence installation. I received the Vega Pro 50 Fence yesterday after a 1 day shipping delay from Amazon. I was slightly frustrated since I am a prime member and it did not arrive on its guaranteed arrival day. Oh well. Part 3: The base is rolling!

This past week I have been able achieve a little progress on the table tablesaw workstation. I now have a rolling base that is ready for cabinets. The base is welded up from “C” channel that I had left over from another project. My father was nice enough to weld me up the frame 2 weeks ago and bring it to a meeting point half way between us. This is going to be a beefy base but at least it will withstand just about anything that gets thrown at it like moving and the usual shop ...
