Square peg Cheat
How I join two pieces of wood with a square peg.
I start of by ripping a square dowel on my table saw and I round one end on my disk sander to fit in my drill chuck.
Then I cut a shoulder
Then I put it through my dowel making jig rounding up to the shoulder I cut. I step down the dowel in 0,5mm increments until I reach the dowel size I want. (In this case I went from 8mm down to 5,5mm)
Then I cut the dowel
I sand the bevels on my disk sander
Finished square peg/dowel
Drill a hole and insert the square peg/dowel
