I made a few jigs for making the wheels

1st I made the wheel blanks 10×50 x 50mm for this truck. My final wheel size is 44mm diameter.
I marked 1 corner for consistency on the drill press.

All the blanks for the wheels plus a few spare

Mark the centre of the blank. I only mark one to set up the drill press.

The set up in the drill press with a stop block against the drill press fence.

I used a 25mm Forstner bit to drill the holes for the centre hub.

Then I drill the axle hole (8mm for this truck)

Next step is to drill the decorative holes in the hub (3mm for this truck)

I used my indexing jig for this.

I used SketchUp to make the template for cutting the index slot (5 for thes wheels) Sketchup model
