It sure doesn’t seem like it was 3 years ago that I first found Lumberjocks.

I have no clue how I first found it, but I liked what saw. This is the only site I am a member of for that reason.

I want to thank Martin for creating a place such as this, and I’m glad that he is as young as he is so that
he can keep it going for a long time after I’m gone.

99% of the people here are great and 1% are morons, idiots, or a**holes but that’s a better ration than you find
in the real world. I guess that’s why Martin added the long overdue BLOCK feature for that 1%.

I haven’t been posting much lately. Raising a 3 year old is taking a LOT of my time, but I check in all the time.

Basically I wanted to thank everyone for making this such a great place to hang out at.

Happy Anniversary Gary. This is an awesome site and you certainly lend valuable input, insight and perspective to it. BTW, your priorities are certainly where they should be. Cherish the moments with the little ones. They grow far too quickly.

Hi Gary,
My sentiments exactally, one exception the a—holes are a lot less than 1%, I would say .00000001%.
I always enjoyed your posts and your comments, would have to say I’ll be glad when you can give your 2 cents worth again. I have learned a lot from you. I dislike the bickering and insults, mabey it will go away when they get tired of it. Martin congratulations from me as well.

I add my thank you to Martin for keeping up this opportunity for all of us to share. I also wish you Gary a happy third anniversary here. I have gained so much inspiration and knowledge from your projects, posts and comments. Selfishly I have missed your presence but I certainly understand a three year old and how much of your time they can occupy; but she is in her formative years and needs all the positive influence from her parents she can get. Good for you Dad for giving her the time she needs.

Congratulations Gary! Like many previous posts have said your postings were one of the main reasons I started reading LJ’s, thanks for sharing your insights and projects. I have a 7 and 5 year old so I understand your priorities :-)

Congrats Gary. My Three year old is my shop helper. He runs the sawdust hose to clean up piles I make for him and also takes scrapes out to the burn barrel. He cant wait for me to give him something to do!

Happy anniversary, Gary.

I figured since you had not posted anything in so long, it must be one heck of a project you were getting ready to spring on us!

congrats Gary, and Thank YOU so much for all the inspirations, and blogs that you shared with us over those years – it’s been priceless. its nice to see that you’re still checking the site up. raising a 3 y/o I know exactly what you mean. for me it seems that woodworking lately has been limited to online/digital work, and stocking up on tools for when I eventually DO have a moment to woodwork :)

looking forward to seeing you around,
