Retarded... er, a... retired I mean. Whilst awaiting the sweet peace of dementia's onset, I spend my days waiting for Godot, hiding in my shop, turning hundreds of years of nature's miracles into animal bedding and firewood - one stick at a time.

Between "honey do this", and "Dad can you do that?" I actually do manage to turn out the occasional project that has some use or purpose meaningful to me. Cabinetry, furniture, small boats and lately some small CNC work, all help to keep me out of the bars (especially since I put a fridge in the shop).

Even amidst my fancy new tool addiction, I love old tools and vintage iron. Nice to see and use stuff that's older than me that still does a nice job of gettin'er done. Makes me wanna be a better wood worker.
