Thrones #1: Throne: Maloof seat, slabs of mahogany and walnut with ebony sticks

I extended design concept for a throne by Taylor Donsker (great young LA designer in wood). Added Maloof seat and large arm rests in mahogany. Changed spine to mahogany. Enlarged seat back with large wings made from slab of walnut. Added ebony highlights.

Great project, but an unabashed commercial for Festool.

Thanks, Bill. “Unabashed commercial for Festool?” Well, I was an enthusiastic initial user, but reading your comment makes me wish I had sought to highlight their tools in exchange for a promotional discount!
