« Part 7: Getting closer Part 8 of Willy’s jeep series no next part

So, finally, I am done. I had several goals in mind when I started this project. The first was to build a Jeep and give it color and parts that provided a worn look. Second, was to interject different mediums to add a hint of detail without losing the overall wood appearance. I am certain there are pure of heart wood modelers who are cringing at the sight and cursing my name. But what the heck, I haven’t been much for boxes; they clutter my shop. Third, I wanted to make some functional parts, to wit: the canvas top, which turned out to be a tad too heavy so it didn’t pack as well as I hoped, the top bow, and the windshield. There were other goals in mind, but why drag on.

One last thing, kudos to the wife for making the top. She did a great job!!!

So, without further ado, here is the good, the bad, and the ugly. Mission accomplished, I think.

I hope you like this Jeep as much as I do. It was a fun project.
