Hi - I'm a retired cad draftsman, a qualified toolmaker, always been a keen modeller and hobbyist from model railways, radio control planes and boats, to timber work in building or craft.

I head for projects that are different. Always intrigued by geometric stuff and love fine machining and fine finishes (when I have the patience) lol.

I still enjoy cad layout and solve many problems with it.

Hi – I have a question for members on the attached Mahogany bowl which I saw on a TV program. It is a turned Mahogany Fruit Bowl with some nice fluted surface under the bowl. How on earth can this be machined or manufactured like this? There must be a trick to it. I would appreciate any input from Lumberjocks members. It has me stumped.
