Ok I learned a few things this week end. It washes off your hands with water. The second thing is the torch liquefies it - meaning besides raising the air bubble it help to level the epoxy. Make it run a little. The last thing is make sure you tape and or putty is sealing off the hole your filling very good. The stuff is thick like honey and runs like water, but hardens overnight.
If your wondering making an oak cookie with about a 15 inch Dia at the smallest point to about a 18 inch at the largest. It cracked allot but the best of the 3 I had big enough for the wedding cake. Its also about 2.5 inches thick.
I have found what ever this one tree is, (thoughts some type sea grape looking tree) No cookies have cracked that were cut from it. Its a yellowish wood with a thin gray bark.
