Location: New Jersey

Ok so when I joined the other day I was just anxious to get on here and slapped a profile together. Here is the real story.
About a year ago I became interested in woodworking while remodeling my home in New Jersey. But the real hook was a cherry tree that fell in my fathers back yard that I took for fire wood. Then came an older craftsman band saw I received from a friend while bartering for some work. I began playing around with the cherry logs and resawing them. Unfourtunetly my great uncle passed away, but my other great uncle (his brother) left me his old stanley hand planes, saws, some scrapers, and a spoke shave. Free cherry to practice on wohoo! Then that was that. Currently shopless now until I find a house but my awesome wife already said that the new garage is mine for a wood shop. Cars are for roads, parking lots, and driveways! Pictures coming soon. Glad to be here and looking forward to talking to everyone.

Thanks everybody. I currently am shopless due to just selling my home and all my stuff is in storage, but looking forward to finding a new shop to set up in and I will post pics as they come. I have already seen gotten some good advice from the members of this site. I think my favorite part right now though is looking at everyones shop layouts. Using it as stimulant for right now! Been daydreaming on grizzly’s shop planer site too, for the time being anyway.

We usually have a LumberJock picnic in NJ at Lee Jesbergers shop. We haven’t set the date yet, so keep your eyes open for that.
