For those of you who asked me for a tutorial on how to make the zig zag legless vegetable death table (cutting board), here is my best shot. Or maybe I should call it Two and a Half Steps. Anyway, I cannot believe that I am building another one of these, but heck, they are so much fun. This is a continuing saga of endgrain geometric boards using three contrasting woods. A light color, medium color, and dark wood selection are jointed and planed to the same thickness. I’ve had some members inquire on how I add splines to my box drawers so I thought I’d put together a how-to on how I do it. Your project might differ than mine but this will give you the how to along with the concept.
