If you get a chance go. A friend finally convinced me this year. I dropped my Stanley 9 1/2 and broke it. I bought it in 95. it is English made. I was hoping to find another like it and have spare parts. No such luck. I settled for a 1950s era U.S. made one, new in box for which I paid 20$. I’m happy.

I also picked up a 6” Millers Falls sliding square and a 5” Starret for very reasonable.

Yes there are some pricey offerings, but you can also find some very reasonable prices if you look.

-- nice recovery, They should pay extra for that mistake, Eric E.
