Bench-top Bench with Moxon Vise #5: More sliding dovetails and glue up
Had the day off, so back at it again. I cut the pins and sliding tail for the legs. Bit of a tight fit, but that will work. Forgot to put a bit of paste wax in the joint prior to glue up, oh well. Before I started the glue up, I took the time to run the ROS over the flat surfaces with 120 grit. Removed the pencil lines mainly. Then glued the rear chop to the bench surface. Found just a little gap on the top surface after flipping it over. Then proceeded to glue up the aprons, legs and tenon into the rear chop. A little persuading with the dice hammer. Then clamped up to set a bit. A little final sanding and installed the hardware. Tested the grip, strong with no paddin...
