I make a lot of toys. One lady customer asked me if I can make a rubber band shooter for her children. I usually don’t make anything like a gun, or shooter, but this being rubber bands seems harmless enough. My question to all of you is this, If I make a rubber Band shooter for this lady and while playing with it the child hurts himself, or someone else, am I liable?

We’re all scared to answer because if we tell you it’s ok, then we will be liable if someone gets hurt!

Joking. I don’t imagine it would be a problem.

You’re fine. If I buy a BB gun and shoot my brother, he doesn’t get to sue the BB gun manufacturer, right? If your rubber band shooter explodes in their hand or malfunctions and hurts someone, maybe then.

But if you’re uncomfortable, just don’t do it. Go with your gut.
