Hello everybody! I’ve been doing woodworking for a while (twenty-something years), and I’ve been on the Internet for even longer, but I am fairly new to LumberJocks. When I am starting a new project from “an idea for a thing”, I always turn to web searches for inspiration. Over time, most of the web has turned to garbage, but my searches kept bringing me back to the awesome people and library of information here on LumberJocks. I eventually decided to become a part of this community. Thanks for being here all this time, and I hope I can manage to fit in.

Welcome, Elliott. We hope you’ll share your inspiration with us, too.

Welcome to LJ Eey’... You’ll find answers to questions other than merely 42.

Take advantage of the Workshop option on your Home page to brag about your environment… Might help some when trying to give advice… for example…, you wouldn’t want an idiot like me spruiking Fe$tool when you primarily use handtool.

I have a pretty fair combination of bench tools, power tools, and hand tools. I use different ones depending on how I feel. For instance, I didn’t use the band saw or the mortiser on the shorou, but I did use them to build the sawhorses I used to build the shourou. No Festool stuff, though.

Just kidding about the Fe$tool… sort of…

This is what I was referring to,

Ideal place to put some of those details.. if only to start with… and add as you progress… just a suggestion.
The “gallery” has a limited slots, but you can upload as many pictures as you like in the body of the text.
