Tongue & Groove - 5 replies

I’m in the process of design a window box for flowers , the window box will be made of frame and panel joinery(using Tongue & Groove joinery ) and wondering should I use glue and if so where??? I’m aware that I need to keep the seasonal humidity and it’s effect on the wood but not sure what to do??

Hi Everyone I am about to take on making what’s called a C table using only finger joints as the joinery method.. I have cut lots of finger joints over the years for boxes but never for anything like this type of table pictured below I just not sure how to glue up the table when all the finger joints are interconnected Any ideas!!!

I have been doing a lot of research on finishes for trivets and I can’t determine wether to use a food safe finish like salad bowl finish or mineral oil .. or to use like a danish oil .. I do need to protect them from heat somewhat I can I achieve that by using a food safe finish? TIA
