Part 1: Dimensions & Materials
One day I realized that my wife didn’t have a cookbook stand and I figured that they would not be that hard to make , so I looked online and I found this : I varied the dimensions a little bit because I wanted something a little wider and that it could hold a cookbook as well as a Ipad. Materials: # 1. Pine Board: W 9 1/4” x Length 14” x 3/4” Thickness (I bought a 4’ length of pine board at my local big box store) Main body of stand #2.:...
Part 2: Main Body of Stand
STEP 1: So after I cut the 14” piece of pine that I needed for the main body the actual dimensions of the board now were 9.25”(width) x 14”(high)x .75”(thick), I measured halfway across the 9.25” board and 1.5” down and drilled a 5/8” hole so as that I can hang it later. . Part 4: The Stand
In the final construction phase of the project its time to put the stand on the back so as that it will stand upright but tilt just a little to make it easy to see what your looking at… All I used in this is 2” brass hinge , 2.5” x .5” pine board leftover from the lip and a little bit of cord… One more thing that I put on was 1.5” piece on the back of the stand at the bottom to reinforce the L and to be honest the board I used developed a little b...
