Its time for another….My tool box in which I made at my first semester at school is filling to the gills. Even the top of the box is becoming filled up.I decided to make a second tool box to go back to school in September with. I was originally going to make a hanging cabinet then I decided it would be a fun experiment to see how much better and faster I have gotten since I last built my tool box.I am making this one a little smaller and out of maple. Part 2: Layout and dovetailing

If you read the last entry you know that by the time we left off we have 4 glued up panels scraped and ready to cut.All you need to do is rip, then crosscut these to the proper width and length. If you are undertaking a project of this size you should definitely have some experience doing both these operation so I wont go into extreme detail on this topic but I will say that I do use a large cross cut sled for that operation. Part 3: Update

Dont worry Lumberjock’s and jockette’s I have not forgotten the blog.With school fast approaching (2 weeks away) I really needed to crack down on the tool box as I need it to return to school with so I have pressed on a bit. Dont worry I have documented the whole process in detail so soon enough I will start up posts again showing about stopped dado’s, divider frames and drawers.Here are some photos to show where its at.

Part 4: Another update.

While im busting tail trying to get my second tool box done in time for school I am still taking photos for you all. I did something interesting with one of the drawers. I am stuck on two design ideas lately. I am obsessed with federal furniture and I find rows of double drawers that have one really fancy face and one plain face awesome looking.
