I was told that Grizzly G0555 would work perfectly and on the grizzly sale sheet it was somewhat verified. I was wondering if anyone out there knew anything about it because they are almost 1/3 of the cost of a Ridgid riser kit.
Thanks. Jim D

Yes, read here.

My only comment with riser block was regarding challenge of getting enough tension on larger blades. Even after tuning the band saw to remove vibration sources and easily pass nickle test with 1/4 inch blade. I was never able to pass nickle test with larger 1/2 inch blades used for re-saw with riser installed, despite easily passing test without the riser. Re-saw with less than optimum tension tends for the cut line to wonder, so do not not expect to make thin veneers on Ridgid with riser. YMMV

Best Luck.

Thanks for the input. I really appreciate that. It is something that I never though about. I have worked the base of this saw and have it adjusted really well for the nickel testing but you certainly have given food for thought. Might have to reconsider this.
Thanks again,
