no previous part Part 1 of Tall Music Cabinet series no next part

My wife teaches piano lessons in the living room of our home. She has a lot of sheet music that get scattered around. She doesn’t want to put a large filing cabinet in the living room . . . something about being too tacky. I tried my best to explain that the paint is usually dry when you buy them. She just gives me that look and asked me to build her something to match the little cherry bookcase that sits in the living room.

Basic box is done . . . finished trim on the sides. It is sitting upside down as I start to work on the base trim.

Base is done.

Working on the top.

From the back . . . it just needs a Door, a Drawer, and lots of shelves.

Best looking filing cabinet I’ve ever seen. Very nice. Are you going to do one main door that opens to sliding file shelves or individual file drawers?

Beautiful work…nothing tacky about that. :)
