85 posts in 4731 days Location: Lansing, MI I'm 38 years old, I've been working with wood since my 6th grade shop class, so more than 22 years already. One of my first and most beloved jobs was working for Fowler Organ Company in Lansing, Michigan where I grew up. Seeing the amazing capacity of the craftsmen of yesteryear, made me forever in love with woodworking. You know the kind of joy, where you don't even notice the time, or the pain, or worry about anything? I'm glad to have found a site to share and to learn. Thanks! -- Dooley Latest Activity | view all »

wow! Thanks to you all for such a heartfelt and warm welcome, I don’t know if I’ve ever recieved such a response from other forums! I’ve always known that woodworkers have bigger hearts. There’s just something about the nature of working with nature. Ohh, I know, bad pun. Thanks again!
Oh, and how come there are so few woodworkers in south florida, is it because it’s so hard to find nice lumber here?
