Don thanks for the comment. I looked over your great projects. I think treasures would be a better word.
I think we share the same love of wood. My dad lasted a little longer in life for I was 15 when he died.
I see we are close to the same area of working with wood, I am in to using power tools and you, knives. Look at my projects and you will agree. I was in to the jewelry boxes for a few years but my style took way to long to finish one box. I also decided the least amount of wood is better as long as I can still express myself. Being 81 it seems like everything is wanting to shut down and look for that rocking chair.
Some of my clocks show my last want in life and that is carving. I told my wife about a year ago if anyone else can carve. It might take a few days to learn but hey I got a whole life left so here goes. But I do it the easy way. No knives, just a Dremel, a flexable shaft and bits…I've been at it a little over a year and am happy of my progress.

Hi Don thanks for choosing me as a buddy. I too have William Lincoln's old book - from the days before many illustrations , and yes you had to read it over and over to understand, where a few pictures would save a thousand words. I also have his other book 'The Complete Manual of Wood Veneering" - another very good read - think I got it off EBay for peanuts.

Some fine individual and unique boxes in your list of projects!
