I’m getting a late start on wood working, I’ve always wanted to get into it but never got the time or money. I’m 63 now, And now I only have myself to take care of, so I decided to pamper myself with tools and a huge basement to do what I always wanted to. Having a great time doing so, and learning a lot. Now it’s just a matter of how long I’ll enjoy it.

I have a mechanical background so plans are no problem. I do a decent job on projects but need to learn a lot more.

Hello All,
I’m new to woodworking, I always wanted to get into it, but never had the time or money. i was a welder, fitter by trade so working with plans is an advantage. i built myself a nice little shop in my basement and am having a great time learning an making small projects. I guess starting at 63 years old, I better hurry on the learning part.

I’ve looked through this forum for many ideas and advice and I think it is great.
