I feel very lucky, going from hobby woodworking to semi pro and having the room to work.
I used to do body and paint and after a rear end car accident I am considered too risky to hire at most places, so I started building furniture and fixtures in my own shop where I can have some control over how hard I work or at least the hours I work.

Nice shop.

Sounds like some great equipment to work with. I’m sorry to hear about your accident, but glad that you are able to do woodworking.

Hi Dez,

How about posting some pictures of your shop? I find visual tours of other shops to be an enjoyable aspect of this community. You have a nice list of tools but pictures would also be nice.

Thanks for the responses and comments. I really need to change this. I lost my house and shop to the bank around July of 2009 after an auto accident in 2004 when my neck was badly damaged and I couldn’t work. I hung on as long as I could but before I ran out of mortgage or the medical insurance could fix me up to return to work I ran out of money.
I still have all the tools but they are crammed, unused, into my daughters 2 car garage. My wonderful MIL has allowed my wife and I the use of her house until we can get something else worked out.
Sooo, Tools – yes, shop – no. I do have part of the tool shed, (8×14) so I have a small workspace. I am working on small things so I still get to work wood, Yea!! I will post pics of my new workspace soon.
