I went to go pick up this band saw (which I have been looking for for months). I was contemplating getting one on ebay but at around 300 a pop plus 50-75 for shipping. It was going to have to wait. Then I saw this post on CL for 65$. I got to the guys house and he said he was getting out of woodworking(He was around 90 and moving into an assisted living community). I looked around and he had a bench covered with hand tools. I asked how much he wanted for the lot. He said 50$. I tried not to jump out of my skin in excitement. I quickly rushed to the ATM to get some more cash. While loading the car I spotted the vise attached to a bench. I asked how much he wanted for that too. He said “I think i’m going to leave it with the house”. I said “Your going to leave 20$ in the house”. He said “Sold!”

“Your’e going to leave $20 in the house?” That’s a great way of making an offer. Worked too :)
