Location: Gadsden, Alabama

I am currently working for Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. I am a metrologist and do various calibrations for the government. I have been here in Washington since July 2007. I love woodworking and would rather do this for a living then anything else except maybe flying. My skills have gradually increased over the years and I still find ways of improving projects. Woodworking relaxes me and it seems the time flys when I'm doing a project.
In 2009 moved to Gilroy, California and worked different jobs for Radiation Detection Company, but after they moved to Texas I stayed behind to sell our house. It took over a year and a half. During that time I worked as a manager for Pacific Precios Metals as a bullion dealer. In 2015 we retired to Melissa, Texas and did some woodworking projects there. In 2017 we moved closer to family in Gadsden, Alabama. My wife and I have been very busy since moving, although we are both retired. Since here I have built a 16x16 shed, a chicken coop, stair case to upper floor of barn, storage facility on boathouse, and a 12x 8 concrete storm shelter. I plan to build a 28x 16 apartment above the barn with an elevator access. Since the price of lumber has gone crazy this past year, I plan on cutting my own lumber with a Norwood LM29v that I ordered. It should be here in June. Sorry for the long details... but life changes every day.
9/13/21 Update Got the lumber mill and currently building a poll barn to house it. The concrete foundation is finished and posts and beams are up. Now working on braces. It is 13.5 ft high, 12 by 24 ft long. Second floor will be a solar kiln for drying lumber. G_d bless all!
