« Part 4: Proportions to Detailing Part 5 of Man Carving Himself from Tree series no next part

Here are a few pictures of me carving in the details of the Tree trunk, Stone base, Hair, and the face. My next step is to carve the forearms, hands, chisel and mallet. After I’m completed with all the carving then I will sand and finish. I’m getting excited the closer I get to completion. Thank you for looking.

Coming along very nicely Dennis. You have amazing talent and patience. I’ll bet you are enjoying it though. Looks like a lot of fun mixed in with a lot of hard work.
Waiting to see the final reveal!

What can I say anymore? Always the best, always your soul and love being shown in your work. If I could come up with anything more profound to say about your talent I would, awesome work Dennis.

Thank you everyone for the very kind complements.

Hi Pete, I glued up layers of basswood and used carving knifes and a mallet for the carving.
