Here is a link to our new website, it still needs a little work but I think it looks really good. Easy to get around with a new look. I wanted to thank my wife Patti Zongker, I’m very proud of her for all her hard work for making the new website.

Please give any criticism bad or good, would be much appreciated.

Here is a link to my website

Hi Dennis -I like the new layout (although, in fairness, I never saw the old one.)

Did you take the pictures yourself? They are top notch, IMO.

Very professional Dennis, and such great work to showcase!
I’ve designed a couple of websites and I know how much work it is too. Patti has reason to be proud.

Don’t shoot the messenger. I do this for a living as the architect/lead developer for a small team within a large enterprise. Ran your site thru many of the tests I would do if it was submitted by one of my guys and below is a brief summary of the things i liked and disliked.

Things I like:
  • The photos and examples of your work our outstanding. Visitors don’t have to question the skill of the craftsman. They are digitally smacked with awesome work.
  • Plenty of navigation options to find everything you might need.
  • Contact info spread throughout so visitors don’t have to go searching for it. Many small businesses forget this key component.
Things that could be improved:
  • You might consider adding what are called “bread crumbs” to the navigation. I can go to Residential > Premium Kitchens > Transitional Cherry and then I have no idea where I came from. Bread crumbs help the user navigate better because it shows where they came from.
  • There is no captcha on the contact form. Looking over the javascript it appears to be a Word Press site. If it is the bots will eventually find that form and use it. The captcha helps prevent this. My favorite and least intrusive is the Google Re-Captcha
  • Contact Info in the top header is part of the image meaning i cant select it to copy and paste. Its a little thing but it should be plain text or hyper/mailto links
Nitpicking Things because I do this for a living:
  • The images in the footer don’t resize or respond well on mobile. Something like 55% of initial internet traffic is driven by mobile these days so its very important to be represented well on those screen sizes. I might consider creating an “Awards & Reviews” section under “About Us” that you could use to showcase awards and any great things your clients have to say about your expert craftsmanship. This would eliminate the need to have the images in the footer and in my opinion your work stands for itself.

I hope I didn’t come across as to judgmental. You’ve got a great foundation and a few tweaks could really get you over the top.

Good looking site. There are a few hiccups running on MS Edge.
1) The Blog (Under About Us) has a default language from the site designer. Might want to update.
2) It could be an MS Edge thing but most of the links have formatting issues with videos and pics overlapping or pics not auto-adjusting to the screen and getting cutoff on the right side of the screen.

Great work! Nice website too.

I wish I could see some more detail. For example, the 9th item on Misc Wood Projects, I wonder what it really is. Looks beautiful though!

It is a very nice looking site, with beautiful examples of your work. One thing I usually look for is a brief
description of the people i may be dealing with, in the “About”.
