5" orbital sanders - 23 replies

I’m tired of hearing my compressor kick on and off using my pneumatic 5” orbital sander. Which sander do you guys prefer? I saw that the Dewalt got the number one rating from one place, I didn’t like the feel of the Dewalt and actually like the Makita feel

Ridgid 13" Planer - 14 replies

I was on Craigslist last night and ran across a Ridgid 13” planer for 220.00, new ones on Ebay can be bought for 312.00 shipped. This lady has a resale place and she’s saying the price is firm and that they go for 359.00 new, which some do but others sell for less. I would pay half of new if it ran well and looked clean. The add sh...

Skil 448 belt sander - 0 replies

I was sanding a communion table that I am building last night when I notice some oil coming out of the case of my skil 448 belt sander, it appears the oil is coming out where the armature shaft goes into the gear box. I would like to know if anyone on here has repaired one of these for the same reason, and I am wondering if a repair center would...

Jointer Fence - 7 replies

Does anyone know if the fence on a dj-15 jointer is supposed to drag on the outfeed table or is there an adjustment to keep it just above the table? Mine is dragging and has left lines in the table, although not deep but I would think that is not the way it was designed

Jointer Blades - 18 replies

I picked up the Delta DJ-15 jointer this afternoon, it was missing the guard so I ordered that already off of ebay, now I want to order new blades although these are not too bad but have a few nicks in them. Looking on ebay there are a few choices of blades, Delta brand is of course the most costly, then there are 22-32 dollar sets. Some say V2 ...

Delta DJ-15 Jointer - 6 replies

I’m considering to buy a Delta DJ-15 jointer, I don’t think I will have a pickup truck available to borrow, does anyone here have one of these and can it be taken apart enough to put in a full size car so that I can get it home?

Craftsman Cabinet Saw parts for 103.22451 - 8 replies

I had bought a nice older craftsman cabinet saw recently and have been working on getting it “tuned” up some. I noticed a substantial vibration that my last one of these didn’t have, turns out the arbor on the pulley end is is in very bad condition. It has been welded on and most likely file to near round, but not true at all a...

Table Saw Question - 3 replies

Hi folks, new member here. I recently purchased this table saw and am wondering what this piece of the back is. It’s 1/8” rod/wire bent in the shape you see, it’s right in front of the motor, doesn’t look like its part of the belt guard brackets. Maybe some of you might have an idea.
