RIP Little Buddy

This probably isn’t the proper place to post this but I didn’t feel it belonged in the non shop talk forum with all the political BS.

My little buddy Max, the long eared guy on my lap in my avatar, passed from this life about 1:30 am CST. Max had suffered a stroke in late October and had been in declining health since then. Late last night he suffered a series of 5 massive seizures, the last in the parking lot of the Emergency Vets office at 12:30 this morning. The vet stabilized him with a valium IV but knowing what he’s been going through the past few weeks my wife and I finally came to the realization that it was time to let him go. Max wasn’t really what you would call a shop dog but he was my walking buddy 5 days a week and the best little buddy I’ve ever had. He will be sorely missed.

I feel your pain. I think we all have had a buddy like this leave us at one time or another. It is never easy. Hang in there, there will be brighter days ahead. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss… they are family to us all… difficult but knowing he is not suffering is reassuring.

Mimi and I send our thoughts and prayers to you and your family. These little “fur persons” come into our lives and bring so much comfort and joy. It is so painful when we have to let them go but you know it was the right thing to do.

Sorry to hear about Max Darell.
Our dog was as much a part of our family as anyone else.
I believe they are up there running around waiting for us.

I love beagles, and am so sorry.

I often say that … I have family members that I’d rather lose, than to lose a dog.

RIP, Max.

I am sorry to hear that Darrel, I know you have fond memorys of the little guy. You talk of him often I can only imagine what he meant to you and your family. We do gain a closeness to them, they are part of our family.

Very sorry for your loss. Treasure the memories of him and he will always be there with you when you need him.

My condolences. I had to put my ten-year-old St. Bernard down earlier this year…it still hurts.

Our little friends become a part of us…and a part of the “pack” (family). My condolences on your loss…I know the empty hole that is left behind. These little wonders bring us so much for so little. Whatever you believe, I bet there is a wonderful place for them after this life…How could there not be for these wonderful companions that contribute so much love to this world.
