Milwaukee Heat Gun
About 8 days ago my heatgun went Titsup on my. It wasn’t much, just a cheap Craftsman from about 35 years ago and it worked OK but never seemed to be that great. So a few days ago I was playing on the Bay of E and found a Milwaukee Dual Heat unit for $5, buy it now with $5 shipping.I figured that if it was junk, I wouldn’t lose much so I bought it.It arrived today and I had to try it out for it’s intended purpose, which for me is bending the binding for guitars. I was cert...
An Online Business to Stay Away From - Ereplacementparts.com
I can’t give zero stars, I wish I could! I had to upload a picture so I used the “Marmalade Marauder! It saddens me when a company fails to honor its commitment, or notify the buyer if it can’t.Three weeks ago I needed parts for a chainsaw and ordered from ereplacementparts.com. I ordered 2 clutches, 2 clutch drums, 2 air filters and various other parts.I was told they would be shipped within 5 to 7 days. 2 weeks later, no parts. The wife called the company and was told t...

This kit comes with a 3/8” VSR drill and a 1/4” drive impact driver, two batteries, 50 minute charger and a canvas carrying case. I’ve only had this kit about a week but it seems to have plenty of power for what it is, after all, it’s only 12V. Driver combo kit consists of: 3/8” compact cordless drill that features 2 speeds, 0-350 rpm, 0-1050 rpm, 17 torque set...
Johnson Carpenters Square Model CS-1
Yesterday I needed a carpenters square to lay out a large piece on some plywood. My old Empire square gave up the ghost about a year ago after being bent when something heavy, (My Boot with foot installed), landed on it. I went down to my trusty local True Value Hardware store to get a decent square. About the only choces they had were an Empire Drywall square, (Those aren’t even close to square), Empire Speed Squares and Steel 16X24” Johnsons Carpenters squares. I compar...
Poulan Pro PP5020AV 20" Bar 50cc Engine
To start, I want to mention I started a couple of threads on the subject of chainsaws. To begin with, I wasn’t happy having to buy a Poulan….... ANYTHING…... I’ve had my share of problems with those engines and understand the well deserved nickname of “pullin’” Some of those old saws and weed eaters wouldn’t start with starting fluid and and a stick of dynamite. However, this saw seems to be different. I bought it (Poulan Pro PP5020AV) ...
Tool Band-It By Billy Mays!
OK, Don’t laugh. My wife was browsing through a small Korean Dollar store in College Station whilst I was doing some serious research at Harbor Freight. In a big tub of discounted stuff that she found was a whole pile of “Tool Bandit’s” magnetic arm bands. She bought one on a whim, for 50ยข and put it in the trunk with the rest of her loot. When we got home she gave it to me I was somewhat surprised and the first thing I noticed was the weight of the thing. Probably...
Onsrud 12 tooth 8" Dado set
I bought this set, mostly on a whim, since my BT3100 isn’t really built for 8” dado blades. Nevertheless, being addicted to eBay as I am, I was looking at different Dado sets and found this one to be inexpensive, but with my experience with another Onsrud blade thought I would take a chance. When I received the blade set, in a nice wooden box, I just had to try it. I have lately been trying to make some box joints in Chinaberry wood, which is really brittle. My usual method is ...
