Dear on-going woodworking inspiration,

I am a French beginner hobbyist living abroad (currently: Luxembourg)

I've always been attracted to the wood thing, but until recently life did not leave too much space for that on top of black and white photography, motorbike racing on GP racetracks, guitar playing and litterature amongst other stuff.

As an MD when he was working my father spent most of his spare time in his workshop, and as he is now recently retired I feel it's the perfect time for me to finally seriously kick into woodworking and profit from his life experience as a hobbyist.

To me woodworking was always attractive because of the manual side of it, and while I own the basic power tools, I will still stick to hand tools for the love of them. Second thing is the space, I currently live in a super tiny/wealthy/expensive country and I cannot afford a place with a workshop bigger than 10m2 (108feet2). That means "over thinking" every new buy for the workshop.

As I am mainly attracted to vintage manual tools, my workshop is mostly filled with"Peugeot Frères", “Coulaux”, "E.A Berg" and "Sandvik" from the continent and “Preston” and "Stanley" from uk and overseas. My power tools are from the four main German brands.
