« Part 3: Build update/delays Part 4 of Tree Planter Boxes series Part 5: Another project in the books »

Long ago, I learned that my personal passion for woodworking is not driven by a desire to cut, mill, and breathe sawdust. The rush actually comes the moment that something in my mind starts to become a reality after far too many hours of thought and tedious prep work. Had one of those moments earlier this week. It was “assembly day” for the latest Corona Virus project.

Did a test run moving them with the motorcycle lift. It worked fine. Just need to build a small ramp to address the lip at the garage entry.

Still got a fair amount of work left. Besides sanding, staining, and varnishing, we will lining the insides with a pond liner material and installing some type of a DIY self watering sub-irrigation system.

And finally, there has got to be something cool to do with these leg cutoffs. That’s another project.
