After finishing the spalted alder strat archtop, and the purple heart guitars I’ve decided to push myself in techniques to see what I could come up with…here are the next few. My first try was a semi hollow body with a ‘C’ hole incorporated into the logo I worked up for my custom shop (“CH Custom Guitars”...which is still in the design phase..) Hi my name is Carl and I’m a Guitaraholic…I scoff at the idea of having ‘enough’ guitars…is there even such a thing? It like saying is there ever enough cheese on your Nacho’s? ....of course not. But this is about the woodworking aspect of making guitars…or in my case..lots and lots of guitars. Many luthiers use C&C machines, and specialized equipment to make their guitars identical….while I can appreciate that…I really like maki...
