Ah figured out how to start a series of blog. So a little progress today on my glue ups for the table top. Scraped and sanded the glue lines from yesterday and then ran all the boards for a final pass thru the planer while they would still fit. Then glued up one of the last three sections, so just two to go. Here are the pics of the glue up and the other two sections that will get glued tomorrow, and then just one more to go. Part 2: Work table with finish and essentially done, well for now anyway

Here are pics of my work table. I figured now was good, because it is probably as clean as its going to get while the Danish oil is finishing drying. I put the Danish oil on the ash top which has finished out at 1 1/8 thick by 71 1/2 L x 35 wide. Base is finished in BLO, and for dimensional lumber it too has some nice grain and will be a good sturdy base for this table. It turned out larger than it looked when I ran a tape measure out from the wall deciding what size to make it! ...
