Location: Canal Fulton, Ohio

I'm a semi-retired elementary school teacher and an avid woodworker. I've always enjoyed making sawdust. As a kid my father would let me use his tools, but it hasn't been until the last fifteen years that I've actually had the time to work in the shop. Since our house is already filled with furniture, ( and my wife is not the most patient person in the world) I tend to concentrate on small projects. I can spend as much time fussing over a miter joint as some guys do over a bedroom suite.

As well as making sawdust, I like to make music. I play the euphonium (baby tuba) in a local brass band,as well as our community band and of course Tuba Christmas.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Napaman, When I filled out my profile I was asked for a nickname. I live in Canal Fulton Ohio a very small town on the Ohio and Erie Canal near Canton, Ohio. We have a working replica of an 1830’s canal boat as well as an original lock. Everything here is named Canal this or The Canalboat that, so it seemed like a good idea for a nickname. Now I’m not so sure.
