One of the Internet’s largest forest promotions began last Fall.

The donors & participants include: Tesla’s Elon Musk & Twitter’s Jack Dorsey

In fact, Elon changed his twitter handle to “Treelon” in honor of this project, while also donating $1,000,000

Not to be outdone, Shopify’s CEO donated $1,000,000 of his own.

Whose project is this? Why…Mr. Beast’s, of course.

I agree, The wood industry is not an enemy to trees.

Trees can be managed. Over the past 30 years lumber companies have adopted well to the habit of planting after they cut so that they may cut again in the future. It is hard to imagine that this was hardly more then a whim of consideration 50 years ago. It has taken a lot of public pressure to get where we are today.

IMO, the most poignant issue lumber companies face is when the companies lobby and bid for rights outside of their managed lands to public national forests that have fragile ecology. Heavy equipment, bulldozing roads into new land, burying streams and creeks, uncontrolled erosion ...

This is beyond a wood industry’s PR problem. Replanting trees is great; but some things broken cannot be fixed.
