What’s the best finish for ambrosia maple. - 12 replies

I’ve seen posts explaining the problems with using stain on ambrosia maple. What can I use to give these floating night stands a warm aged look? Appreciate any advice. I do have plenty of scraps.

Identify wood from old barn - 27 replies

An old barn near me was taken down. A pile of scraps were left with a sign “free wood”. I grabbed some pieces today for a small craft I’m building. Here are pics as was and after planing. Any idea what type of wood this is? Thanks

Looking for a source for quarter sawn white oak - 10 replies
