I saw your write up of your Zebra Box in Wood magazine. It was really cool to see a fellow LJ in one. Congrats.

Your boxes remind me of the Stanley Donen film Arabesque, with Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren, which is listed as: awash in 1960s style, and op-art camera effects .
Some of your designs I find quite difficult to look at, they are so visually challenging.
Having only tried some serious woodworking since I retired about six years ago - to a village near Bridgwater, down the road from you in Somerset - I fear I may not have enough time left to reach your level of skill, but your projects always catch my eye when I click on Lumberjocks so I must have a try at attempting a box one of these days..
Thanks for sharing your creations and your techniques.

Hey Martyn, I just looked at all your projects and I'm speechless! I didn't even know it was possible to make patterns like that with wood. Your work is definitely one of a kind. I really enjoyed looking at your projects and blogs. Thanks for the time you put in to help it all make more sense to a amateur like myself! AWESOME WORK!

SHAME ON YOU Martyn. ;) Shame on you for making such a drastic change in your Buddy icon. I can no longer instantly tell who THAT post is from. Although I liked the ole Grin you had, I'm sure I'll get used to this one. Ok, carry on… Oh, and thanks for sharing all your wonderful work. It inspires others like you'll never know. :)

PS: No one likes change…...... except for a wet baby.
