I recently found some LED spotlights. 50w (equivalent, so they say, to 500W incandescent) Cool Daylight (6000K) at a reasonable sort of price. I’ve been wanting to make my photo lighting and work lighting both better and more permanent so I bit the bullet and purchased two. How to install them? We rent. Part 2: Extension bars for lighting rig

These are simple really. Just a 450 mm length of 70 mm x 20 mm with a 70 mm square screwed to the bottom, braced with 45° wedges. Attached as seen in the pic’s. To get the right length for these I simply raised a box upwards toward the lights at their ceiling height until the lighting on it looked right and noted how far I would have to drop the lights to light the box on the bench. Part 3: Infinite curve

For a while now I’ve been using A1 size (metric) heavy gauge art paper for the infinite curve in my project photo’s. It’s expensive. It gets dirty and needs replacing every few uses. It occurred to me that heavy duty lining paper, the sort used in the decorating trade would probably do just as well Its about the same width as the shorter dimension of A1 and there’s 10 metres on a roll, enough for about ten curves.
