So today I started digging out a large manzanita shrub. The branches on the particular one I’ve chosen are proximately 8 in in diameter. I have worked with smaller branches for walking sticks but nothing ever this large. This will be the base for coffee table made out of a blue Oak burl I harvested last spring. If all goes well I have enough blue Oak to make about 12 medium sized coffee tables.
