No Bull!

—My neighbor was pretty impressed when I told him I’d entered a bowl in the County Fair—until he realized it wasn’t spelled “B-U-L-L”.

Still, I did all right. I think the prize money is $5. I’ve always told my wife that someday my woodworking would pay off!

It’s absolutely beautiful and congratulations on winning. BTW, what are you going to buy with the $5 ? ;-|

Great job and congratulations on the win.

Looks like a winner to me too. Congrats on the blue ribbon.

Well, the County Fair is over, and I went to pick up my bowl and prize money today. Found out it would have been $8, but only then learned that I had to claim the prize money before the fair ended (the fine print), so I guess that means I’m still officially an amateur. Oh well, it was good while it lasted, but my wife was disappointed I couldn’t buy her that sandwich I’d promised her.

I also decided maybe I chose the wrong hobby! At the livestock sale, a pig sold for $31,000 (yes, that’s thousand!). But there’s a reason, and it speaks volumes about the great community I’m privileged to live in. The story of that can be found here.
