Question for a CAD expert. I am new to CAD and have Turbo CAD 2-D Designer 18. How would you recommend a beginner to CAD use this program to learn CAD. Just dig in or are there tutorials, books or classes you would recommend.

Thanks for any advice who in the past did everything the old fashioned way, on paper!!! I am good with compters, just never used any CAD programs. Want to learn this program as I hope to have a Legacy CNC machine one day and so need to learn to design in Turbo CAD.

Brad you wanted the Model number of the Delta Mobile Base I am using on the Grizzly Table Saw. The model is 50-273 and it measures 20 5/8" x 20 5/8". It is amazingly sturdy and has adequate adjustment to handle most uneven floors. I would give it an excellent rating. Like most of the mobile bases for Cabinet Saws it is very low to the floor even when in the "mobile" position. I would recommend it for the Grizzly Saw. I purchased mine through Amazon.com.

    David,

I just ran across your 'handle' in scanning the "Pulse" section. Sometimes I'm slow in getting things, but your triple play on words made me grin big! And, it's so much more pleasing a handle than, say, "Screw Driver"!

    Thanks for the humor!

    Welcome to LumberJocks!

I like your poker table. Awesome work!

This is an awesome group of woodworkers that generously share their talents, passion and interest in woodworking. We are looking forward to your projects and input.

Not to hit you up with this too early, but please notify Tom of any tools you are willing to share with your fellow LumberJocks!

By the way, don't worry too much about the Lumebrjock Shop Inspection. While it seems intimidating the day they visit, Douglas and Ms Debbie are pretty kind!

Hey Dan, I like your projects, especially the Keep sake box. The Oak I cut is mostly Black Oak, it is a little easier to machine and sand. The White Oak is much harder and wears me out faster. Your tree would have made some nice lumber.
