Bailey Stanley 4-1/2 confused - 7 replies

I bought this 4-1/2 and thought it was a type 15. After reading a few different plane typing guilds I’m not sure if I’m right, wrong or got some parts to a 4-1/2 all put together. The sole doesn’t have a patent #, has 4-1/2 in front of the tall knob and made in the USA behind the frog. The cap has a kidney shaped hole with very...

Hi you all, I just finished a live edge bar that’s going to be outside. I used west systems epoxy like I do on my spearguns and have issues this time that I’ve not before. Acquired some old hand tools and need advice - 7 replies

I was given an old tool box and hand tools that his dad used in the 50s. I’d like to restore them maybe to use or just display. I’ve never restored something like this and need help.
