I had sanding. I had sanding with power tools more. It is too dusty, too noisy and cumbersome. I really only get out the power sanding tools for drawers sides now as they tend to need sanding after fitting. This time I got smart and joined the power and vacuum cords and used a hold fast to lock them down. It made is less annoying…but I still hated using it.

i hear ya BRD so this is what i came up with to keep the hose and cord out of the way.after i posted this i added an outlet on the end of the boom arm to plug in the sander into so the cord is also out of the way.works great,as soon as the sander is turned on the dust collector comes on.as i move around my assembly table the boom swings around with me.

-- sawdust the bigger the pile the bigger my smile-larry,so cal.
