I was fortunate to meet Marc Spagnuolo, The Wood Whisperer, at Highland Woodworking in Atlanta this weekend. Marc, along with others, did demo’s all day Saturday. I spent the morning watching him and then I came home and installed my new dust collector I picked up while there. I then went back on Sunday for Marc’s all day class. If you are not familiar with him check him out at He has tons of information and lots of great videos. He started the shaker table build during March whcih collected over $9000 for the American Cancer Society. All in all a great woodworking weekend, even if I was out of the shop.

-- Bill from Lithia Springs, GA I love the smell of sawdust in the morning.

Great picture Bill.
Marc’s videos are really informative and helpful.
That shaker table build his guild sponsored was a great charity act.
Plus, you got a new Dust Collector…
Sounds like a good weekend!

[my take on an OLD joke]

GREAT picture, but who’s the guy with Bill Akins????

Glad you got to meet Marc. Seems like a very good egg. Hope your trip to Highland didn’t cost too much money ;-)

Great oppurtunity to meet a great guy maybe he’ll come back this way soon and thanks for sharing. Also if you don’t mind post any events you hear of in Atlanta I’m not far down I-20 just west of Augusta.
